Just a small "FYI".
I booked a 2 week stay with Dynasty (I booked direct) and asked them to take 1 nights accommodation off my credit card as security/confirmation of my booking in June 2010 (as per their website). Imagine my surprise when I had the whole 2 week amount debited from my credit card!
Just thought that I would let you all know that this has hapened to me, as I noticed that some of your posts have said that they only take 1 nights stay off your credit card, then charge you the rest of the amount when you are there. Well, that didn't happen for me. It would of been nice to still have that amount of money in my bank account earning interest than in their account.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not bitter and twisted - we can't wait to go next year, but wanted to let you know that this can happen. I did email Dynasty and spoke to "Christine" in Reservations, however, she didn't offer to refund the amount towards my credit card.
