as mentioned on the other forum i too will be in bali the same time with a 3 year old.
personally having stayed at the dynasty before, its not my cup of tea but each to their own its really a matter of finding what you like what you are interested in and what best suits your needs.
We really dont know what is best for your child and whether a large hotel overun with masses of children will suit them.
I for example know its not for me or my daughter.
I to am having a mixture of accomodation styles for my month their and cannot wait to explore all the regions....albeit only for a short time.....again it may well depend on how your child can cope with all the moving around....my daughter and i have spent weeks in cambodia, vietnam and borneo travelling to many parts and she copes quite well as she is use to it.....
As this will be your first trip solo with a child it will be a learning curve for you both and you will be able to gain great knowledge for your next trip on what is the best travelling style for your family.
My mixture of accomodation includes the legian,a guest house in sanur and nusa dua beach hotel as well as a quick 3 dayer to lovina(no accomodation sorted as yet).
trying to sort through the myriad of accomodation styles is draining sometimes but i know you have your ubud sorted already so thats a start and something will jump out at you and you will know its the right one.
and by all means if you wish to have a day or two or even a couple of hours of shopping and pampering solo.....then i am sure my little one will love it and even though you dont know me having 5 children all who have travelled with me,im sure i am well qualified to assisst(oh and my police record is clear) LOL
anyway i know you will have an awesome time no matter what you decide.
