I am a huge fan of the Melasti Spa in Legian. On my recent trip in Nov, I went to the Melasti Spa and loved my massage. We visited Spa Bali on a recomm from this forum and my massage was terrible. The girl's hands felt floppy/weak and although I kept asking her to alter the pressure it just didn't feel like a proper massage. I ended up with a sore neck and back. I thought I had lucked out but my boyfriend who was having a massage in a separate room had an equally unsatisfying massage. My pedicure at Spa Bali was good, it was just the massage that was terrible.
We tried a few places. The worst we had was Spa Bali. The best we had was at The Legian Day Spa (we had 2 balinese massages here, both great. didnt like the hot stone massage as much- stones too hot!) The Legian is actually in Kuta (not Legian), its just on Jln Legian, next to Alex's Shop (just down from the memorial heading against the traffic), ph 0361-2722360
