If you have the dough, go to the Dynasty in South Kuta (north tuban). Has everything a family would want and the older kids have a facility they call "The Den". It is like a kids club for older kids 13-17. Pool table, ping pong, internet, music, outings etc. Good for mum & dad too, has a kids free area and a mixed families area. Best of all, no hoons.
Don't book through agent, you will be ripped on tarrifs. The Dynasty can be directly booked through the Qantas website under the Hotels tab. Much cheaper and instant confirmation. There are many online sites that say they can book you into the Dynasty, but they don't have the direct access to the hotels booking system that Qantas has.
Expect to pay around $220 for a room that will sleep the whole gang, more if you want your terrace to look over the pool.
