You are assuming they work every day and everyone pays. Some don't.
Why would you think you don't need to pay for a service that someone provides for you. Do you ask someone to deliver your groceries for nothing?
That's their wage (not a tip on top of a wage) and yes they deserve to get paid.
If you don't want to pay don't use them. simple.
