Struth Ruth my memory is not what it used to be, but I think that the small section on the right hand side of Geger beach may be for the exclusive use of St Regis guests. No matter there is plenty of room elsewhere on the beach and the tucker in the restaurant is very good.
Closest hotel would probably be the Nikko on top of the hill which has stunning views of the ocean.
Novotel Nusa Dua would be as close as any to Geger, they have a section of beach and regular transport to it nearby which does not have the good feel and ambience of Geger.
Can't help you any further but if you are happy with the deals at Novotel, do it !
