we have booked to stay at Balian Breezes in December. Although we haven't yet stayed, have received good feedback about the place & it was one of the few accommodation options in the area that was airconditioned & had a pool.

Depends what you are after I suppose, a lot of people also recommend Pondok Pisces - it looks great & although no aircon or pool it's directly opposite the beach & has an on site cafe (Breezes has no restaurant although you can arrange for dinner to be cooked for you).

There was a more upmarket resort (the name escapes me at the moment) that I looked at which looked lovely. It was quite pricey though - we are paying RP 450,000 per night for the upstairs unit, the downstairs one is RP 380,000. You can rent both for RP 750,000 & have exclusive use of the property which is value hard to beat
