We headed off to Bali on Sunday 11th October flying with Air Asia cheap tickets so we were very impressed for a cheap airline, leaving from Perth at 4.50am and landing in Bali ahead of time touching down at 8.10am thru immigration really quickly and then out the doors to Paradise...Hmmmm I thought the pre Bride nerves starting to set in here we go...this trip felt and I new was going to be very different, from our previous trips..How was I going to get thru the next few days? Is my dressed all wrinkled? did I pack everything? I had so many checklists and I was just running it thru my head to make sure we were all still on target for our Friday October 16th Wedding.
Well we arrived at the hotel(All Seasons) Myself my Hubby to be our 2 daughters( 22 and 16 yrs)and my sis...We had a smooth checkin rooms were ready and they even decorated our room with gorgeous fresh rose petals I thought this was realy nice...Ok! brain heading into wedding mode go thru my checklist and see what we have to do?...Husband to be laying comfortably on the bed watching TV...Typical I thought. Monday we headed off to the Australian consulate to get my paper work done with our Wedding Planner all went smoothly back to the hotel for a swim...The rest of our guests were arriving on the Wednesday and Thursday so we new we had a few extra trips to the airport again and then the fun begins trying to spread your self around like a cheap container of butter Yep this was going to be fun!...Tuesday we went over the menus with Max from Koris restaurant and then off to Myang to pickup the wedding rings...Then Carrefore to buy the supplies we needed for the next few days while we vege in the hotel room. Wednesday morning the first off our family arrive they were also staying at the All Seasons also on the early AA flight so we met up with them afer breakfast and got them settled into their rooms...Wednesday afternon family arriving from NZ back to the airport to pick them up with Dipper from the Satriya cottages (we couldnt get everyone together in the same hotel due to the hotel being booked out so we had a bit of running around in between hotels which was exhausting)..Family arrived safely after their very long flight from NZ off to the Satriya to get them settled then try and sneak off back to the Airport again to meet the AA flight from Perth that arrived at 8pmish?....Some of the famly had not seen each other in a while and we wanted to keep it a secret as too who was coming so off we go again to pickup my future brother in law and his wife...OK arive back at the Satriya check in and then sneak up too the room were the other family members were now deep in slumber after the NZ flight to surprise them...They were all very excited to see each other and thats when it clicked Yep! a Wedding is a great way of getting everyone together I could now start to unwind and think ahead to the Wedding now that all our family and friends were here.....Thursday I packed and got all the Wedding bits together to head off to Chandra Villas...When my sister and I arrived we just looked at the Villa and went WOW! this is going to be amazing...the staff and Manager Sarah went out of their way for us and it was'nt even the Wedding day yet! (I had already booked and checked out the Villa on my previous trip in March which was good) A swim and cold refreshments I could now completly unwind and it was a great feeling after all the planning for the big day! I was actually getting excited...Dinner and then off to bed were the instrutions from my big sis!...Well Friday the Wedding day came and my sis and I had a lovely cooked breakfast in the Villa..then shortly after a flood of people started to arrive the decoraters, then the caterers and I started to wonder is this when I get nervous! Yep I was starting too...We sat there and watched them do all the flower arrangments 2 ladys doing the flowers for the table setings just amazing!....Then my sister said its time for you to get ready so off I trot back to my room waiting for Aimie to arrive from Shibu to make me up!..Dress is now hanging all the wrinkles are out and I am nervous. I get into my dress then I here the Rindik musicians playing signaling the guests arrival..Ok! breath, breath...I perve thru the window and see hubby to be looking smashing HOT! then our daughters come into the room with the photographer for the photos...then I get the signal from Kelly our Wedding planner its 2 minutes...OK! BREATH BREATH! I grab I hold of my Brother who was giving me away and walk out.. Panic, nerves here I come...We are married in the most gorgeous setting and we couldnt be happier everything went to plan and its was well worth all the stress and nerves....Our reception was fantastic with Balinese dancers, Fire dancers and bongo drums..what a way to the end the evening the food from Koris was delicious we had Babi guling from our family in Tabanan there gift too us for our wedding ( everyone loved this) and our cake from Ixora was unbeleivable even better than what we expected We had a delivery of flowers from Desi and the crew at Monlight cafe I was just taken back when it arrived every flower you could imagine was in this arrangment what a kind gesture from Desi (my close friend)... We had the best time..All our family and friends spent a few more days in Bali then headed back to NZ and OZ my Hubby and I were off on a new adventure flying to Singapore and then a cruise on the Superstar Virgo...Kid free and finally married after being together for 25 years! Thanks for taking the time and reading my first and very long JBR...Cheers Giselle
