I'm not really whinging just stating facts as I saw them :-)
We paid $1227.00 per person for promotional return flights MEL-KUL. That included taxes, one food service (as it turned out) which included a small bottle of water and 25kg. So not exactly cheap but was an acceptable price given it was premium economy.
We are used to flying to Thailand and know the price we paid is comparable with Thai Airways and Malaysia Airlines economy to their National hubs and much the same distance. However, both those airlines have a decent seat 34" pitch and are full service so not a lot of difference in the end.
Hey... if AA came up with fabulous cheap direct flight from MEL to DPS then what was it Mr Connery said "Never say Never" we all have our price and that includes me :-)
