I read about Barclona Restaurant on the BTF and decided to check it out a three weeks ago. It's almost next door to Rambutan Cottages. I was so impressed and I felt I had to share my thoughts with you.

As I walked into the restaurant which had around 8 tables, I was drawn to the tables further in. These table were outside under the shade of trees and vines. As I looked around more I saw that there was a beautiful large garden further in, so I asked permission to go and have a look.

The garden reminded me of a small botanical garden with so many trees, shrubs and flowering plants, it was quite breathtaking and the staff were only too happy to talk to me about the history of the garden.

While we were in the garden chatting with the staff, we asked about the building that opened on to the gardens and we were told that they were two guest rooms. Of course we couldn't let the opportunity go by without asking if we could have a look.

Both of the rooms were large, very clean with a good sized bathroom and each room and a separate fully equip kitchen.

The cost is 200.000rp per night without breakfast, but if you book for a few nights then breakfast will be included. There is no pool but the beach is very close.

There were six of us and we all order different meals, the first thing we noticed was the stunning presentation of each meal, it was like dining in a 4 star hotel The meals were all large and delicious and our only regret was that it hadn't found this restaurant years ago.

I know that I will be recommending Barclona to everyone I speak to who will be going to Lovina. The meals were inexpensive, between 20,000 to 40,000rp.

If you are looking for good food and peaceful place to unwind and relax then this is worth checking out. The address is Kaibukbuk, Lovina, Phone: (0362) 41894
