on a recent trip i always asked and was given 100,000 idr notes . It wasn't until the end of the trip i realised i was better off with the 50,000 idr notes as after a few bintangs (everyday) , the 100's and the 10's looked similar . The actually look similar sober too . We always used the same money changer and didn't even bother checking in the end . (we did check it after we left , and before we returned to Aus the lady at the money changer recieved many clothes for her family , plus the tips i gave her after every change).
