We left for Bali on the 8th Oct, we being myself,my wife and three kids aged 11yrs 9yrs and the little bub 9months.We flew Garuda got the baby seats right at the front of economy class, which meant first on and first off the plane. Although we nearly didnt make the plane as my son the 11yr old decided to do a faceplant on a slippery surface at the airport,luckily just skinned knees a sore head and a bruised ego.We had an easy transition through the airport thanks to the great seats on the plane we were out in about 30 minutes. Arrived at our hotel (Bali Mandira) and were pleasently surprised, had read some bad reports about the mandira but we loved it, great room great hotel allround.We decided to head to the resturant(Lanais) down past the jayakarta this resturant had been recomended to us from friends who loved the place but after a long walk we found it to be under renovation ah well that means another trip must be in order just so we can eat there yes... we ended up at Tekor, not bad but ive never had kentucky fried beef before. I did for the first time in 13yrs have BINTANG BINTANG BINTANG BINTANG maybe a few more which i had been waiting for since we booked in april.Anyway headed back to the hotel for our first night as a family in Bali. We woke nice an early thanks to our 9month old alarm clock and headed off to breakfast and than a day full of shopping eating and for me drinking a little bintang. DAY 3 involved many more hours shopping,tackling the streets with a pram with dodgey footpaths and in some cases no footpath at all and ended with tea and a show at the Mandira. Great day had by all Day 4 More shopping, drinking bintang and tea at indonational which turned out to be our favourite resturant, Chilli mudcrabs yummy. At this point of our trip something occurred to me our baby was sleeping great at night and and my wife wasn't stressing at anything, surely i left my real wife at the airport and my bali wife was an imposter, i think i'll keep this wife.
