It is just what's known here as "simple syrup" - no secret recipe - no patents even. Just white sugar and water to cover it in saucepan, bring to boil, stir and let water reduce until it thickens to the consistency of syrup.
Sure will work out cheaper than importing from US and maybe your local water is better quality too!
