last time I went to amlapura orphanage i rang before hand and was given a list of the things they needed. One of these was thongs ) or sunsandals kadek called them) well off we went to carrafour and what a sight it was to have 35 pairs of thongs in varying colours and sizes. We also brought oil, rice, noodles, sambal, piles of treats, concentrate juice and some frui and vegies. We took from australia tons of kids clothes of varying ages, some stationary etc. One thing i noticed was a lack of bed linen soany old sheets, doona covers etc would be gratefully accepted. We also bought balls, bats balloons bubbles etc, anything for fun,
But be cautioned, whichever orphanage you go to you will walk away a different person, even life changing experience! It was the best and most rewarding thing i have ever done in Bali :))
