An incident happened to our family one night on our way back to the hotel. We are regulars to Bali so am aware of all extra attention that we females can attract whether wanted or unwanted. We decided to do a quick DVD purchase on the way home and stopped off at a shop called "Centre" DVDS which is opposite Posers in Padma st and between Tommy's Leather and the Circle K.
We have shopped in here before over the years but never experienced this. Our girls aged 10 and 12 were with us and one of the staff members started chatting and high fiving us and mucking around. we all dispersed into our respective aisle to look at what dvds we wanted and he ushered the girls over to the kids section. We bought a few DVDs and promptly left 5 minutes later.
across the road my eldest turned around and said to me "thank god we left that shop!! I asked her why and she told me that while the guy was showing them the DVDs he had touched her on her butt and then actually touched her breasts. The look on her face was unforgettable, she was so distraught and freaked out by this I was really upset for her.
My husband saw the look on my face and asked me what had happened. he is very protective of his girls as you could imagine and he said he would be back shortly. I told him to remain calm and not to do anything stupid. He walked over where the guy was now standing out the front of the shop and grabbed him by the back of the neck and said to him, "if you ever touch my daughter again I will k##l you, the guy sh***t himself of course.
The whole incident made us feel very upset and disappointed that there a some guys that do that to innocent children. I know lots of balinese on the street chat the girls up and joke around but to do this to a young impressionable girl is just plain sleazy.
Apart from this incident, our holiday was still fantastic
