Amed is V E R Y spread out, and looking at any map will not show you exactly how spread out it is. That said we (4 adults, 14yo, 7 yo & 5 yo) stayed at Blue Moon in July for 3 nights. It is lovely, 2 nice pools, great staff, fantastic rooms. Some good snorkelling a short walk across the road and down some stairs. Other than Blue Moon Restaurant (which is quite good) there are only 2 other restaurants within walking distance of a night time. We arranged transport one night to go to WaWa WeWe II Restaurant to eat and watch a band one night, which everyone enjoyed.

If you walk 2 Km's south of Blue Moon there is a wreck that can be snorkelled to off the beach (a very rocky beach). My kids (the 5 & 7 yo) and my teenage nephew all really enjoyed the snorkelling here. There is some really great coral here as well to the north of the wreck with great fish life.

If I went back to Amed I would probably try somewhere different but I am glad we stayed here in July, it was my sister's 50th and we have some great memories and the sunrises (can't believe I saw any) were fantastic.

Cheers
Sue
