... you will still need at least a valid residential address and contact details to send unaccompanied baggage and/or freight. And of course, at least a Social Visa (2 months, then renewable monthly with increasing difficulty for the next 4 months) - and a sponsor. Maybe you should check with an immigration agent? You can do the bureaucratic nonsense yourself, but it's a recipe for untold frustration.
I wasn't charged duty on my personal effects, but got slugged bigtime for bring my old computer and printer.
