Purchased fabric from a shop - Busana Agung, near Kusnadi on the left hand side going towards the Jayakarta - I came across a dressamaker further up from us going towards Jl Legian - Bali Matahari Collection - W. Luciana on the card it says Jl Bagus Taruna, Legian. Luciana had a dress in her window a small size and during our stay she made 2 dress, one top similar to dress style and then copies a top that I took over for me in two fabrics - I was really happy with quality of sewing and attention to detail - I was told I had overpaid by a person that I met - but for me to be able to get dresses made for just under $15Au each is fine by me.
Having been dropped off by a taxi near Matahari (far left hand side), our daughter spotted Nintendo DS games in a small booth styled shop - there were games already on an R4 - we chose to pick our own games (up to 40) for 500,000 Rp (pick up next day).
We had problems cashing money after a few days - made sure to always check and in the end preferred to go to the authorized money changes or banks . We tried 5 times in one day at smaller money changers everytime 200,000 short - we watched carefully - they are magicians!!! Watch out - always be aware.
We had a great time at Waterbom - purchased a 2 day pass which had to be used within 7 days - booked a gazebo for the 2nd visit .
Taro Safari Park (Bali Adventure Tour) was excellent - recommend highly. Organised our tour with the Tourist Information Centre at Matahari Kuta Square Exit Gate - bargained and were happy with the price of 700,000 rp for the 3 of us, park entry/driver. We used the driver Ketut Widarta 081 916 401 918 again to take us to Echo Beach the following Sunday for 250,000 rp. He picked us up a little earlier than expected so we asked if we could go to Tanah Lot first , happy to do it for us. The last time I had been to Tanah Lot was 25 years ago - wow I was totally amazed at the sheer size of parking areas, markets, food stalls - nothing was there on my last visit other than the temple. Ketut missed the turn off for Echo Beach (he had never been there before) but all was good and we arrived just before sunset.

We used the Dewi Lounge at the airport, they were the first to aproach us, paid 100,000 rp per adult no charge for our daughter - was a great way to relax at the end of our journey.
Don't want to go on too much - but enjoy your time there - just back a week now and finally getting over the Bali blues - already planning ahead for next year.
