It is somewhere near Ubud as the driver did not venture too far. It was next to the reptile Park. We picked up the driver from where the shuttle drops us outside the Monkey Forest. With regards to shopping in Tanahlot, no not a lot. It is a distance out but there are I believe markets at the Tanahlot temple. The resort has about 5 restaurants, all very nice. We would take the shuttle most days to Kuta and Ubud, have our lunch there and would have dinner in one of the restaurants at the resort. If we were absolutely stuffed we would get room service. We were there a week and my account for the three of us for meals was about $500 which I thought was not too bad.
I would purchase our mixer drinks when we went to Kuta and just call for room service to deliver the ice for our G&Ts each night.
