Day Four Rp 8100-8200
Decided after breakfast today thst we were going to discover Geneva. Jumped in a taxi and we're off; to God know where! Taxi driver had no clue; neither did we and he dumped us at some shops in Seminyak. Well what do we do??? Jumped in another taxi and told him to take us to Geneva. He did. Well we trundled the halls and there is some really chap stuff and it appears to be all fixed price but it gave me a good idea of what we should be paying for stuff! Didn't actually buy anything.
Then we stopped at Silverberry on the way back down. Can give exact info on beads and charms etc if anyone is really interested!
Had lunch at Mamas Cafe an while we were sitting there a tiny little truck pulled up with two huge pots on the back. Well the next thing all these men jump out of the pots and much to our surprise they start to shift these huge pots with just sheer determination! Great lunch time entertainment.
Home via the guitar shop in Poppies more on them later. Finally open! Left a message for our friend who was staying at the Adi Dharma. Walked back to IKB via Poppies 2 all worn out. A quick change then down to the beach for a surfing lesson! Made a few phone calls home from my Bali sim card. Cost nothing. Spoke to M-in-L in Sydney for about 5 minutes cost 60 cents. Hubby and I had a look round the market then we taxied up to La Monde for great pizza! (we head up to Legian fairly often as we've stayed up there in the past) Taxi home the long way (due to gridlocked traffic) and stopped at Dayu II to book the driver to take us to Sanur moving hotels!

Up early and off to Tom's music again! Closed still for the holidays so back to Matahari. Collected shoes that we had put aside the other day! Mr 13 bought him self a flashing watch which he's very happy with! (need to get the battery changed as we flashed so much we've run out of steam) Bought sandals for hubby at the shoe shop. Come out of the Matahari main entrance and it's the last shop on the left over the road. Bought from there many times. Great value and excellent product. Back to the hotel to meet our friend Koko at 1100 in Lobby. Took Koko out to lunch with us then Ice cream on the way back to the hotel! We went via Matahari just to show Koko the current Fish Spa on display in the entrance. Mr 13 wants to have a go but needs a friend so Dad has been volunteered. Mum decided to take the photos on this little adventure. Why on earth would you pay good money to put your feet in a tank with fish and their wee and pooh! While I'm taking the photos watching the little poohs float round everywhere. Rather lost the whole spa thingy on me!
Back to the hotel and we decide to all have swim to cool off. I ask for four pool towels instead of usual three. Mr Pool attendant wants to know if all towels are for all guests of the hotel. Took one look at our Indonesian friend and decided we needed the third degree. So anyway ends up I have to pay him Rp 35 000 for my friend to be able to swim. Should have asked for a receipt as no doubt reception never
saw a penny! Anyway! Food for thought though; more on this later!
While we are swimming our friend who is staying at the Adi Dharma arrives for a few beers so we all move to the beach and meet Roxy. Biggest chic magnet known to man. Our Surfing teacher has got him self the most delightful pup called Roxy and she wanders up and down the beach near the bar following everyone. Spent most of the afternoon at the beach, two mates catching up. It was a god send as the Ladies and Gentlemen wanted to sell sunglasses and other wares we just suggested they talk with him as he's an easy touch and going home tomorrow! Mr 13 had another surfing lesson.
Took a walk down to Discovery and ate at the Restaurant next door to the sling shot! Mr 13 wanted to do that too but Mum drew the line! Over my dead body was the phrase, I think. Fortunately I still hold the purse strings for most Bali activities (more on that later) and so was able to say no. The music at Chi-Chi is extremely loud and I suspect it's to drown out the screams of the poor buggers being shot into next week on the sling shot next door!
On the way home went to see Ketut in the DVD store that we always use and started the massive choice of all the DVD's PS2 games etc etc. Each year we actually return any that don't work and have them happily exchanged!
