Hi all, actually i'm indonesian. So please have some consideration if I have any grammar n spelling mistake. I went to Bali last month and decided to share my experience in Bali as it was my second time to go to Bali. My first time was when I was 7yo therefore I couldn't remember.
I went there for 5 days. As I had a cousin there, therefore she could show me the places that have not so many tourist go for food and shopping.
I lived in Kuta in J-Boutique hotel. It is a 3-stars business hotel.
Day 1- I went to see the Batik(Indonesia's traditional fabric) shop and UC silver on my way to Ubud.
We ate dirty duck. It was really nice. You should go there if u go to ubud. The scenery of the rice field is also nice. As I am from Jakarta (now studying in Au) I seldom see a field. It was really refreshing.
Then we went to Monkey Forest. It was really close from the dirty duck rest. The monkeys are a bit scary for me as there was heaps. while we want to go downstairs, suddenly heaps like 40 of monkeys passed us. It was scary, but fun experience though. Found a baby monkey that always follow its mom n drink her milk. lol.... so funny, it was like a human. haha...
Then we went to Ubud Palace. We can see the traditional balinese house.
Had shopping in Krisna in Denpasar. It is a fixed price shop. All souvenirs about Bali there. Everything... from handmade sandals until peanuts. It was nice to shop there as i am not good in bargaining... 1 hour was not enough for me. hahahah....
It was 4.30pm, our next destination was Graha Wisnu Kencana. It was the hindu's god statue. The scenery there is really nice. feels like not in indonesia... hahhaha....
Moved to Uluwatu to watch Kecak dance (fire dance), and of course with the sunset as well, as it was showed in the seaside.
Day 2.
Watch Barong dance in the morning. I prefer kecak dance rather than Barong though. can't understand barong story and felt sleepy too. Go shopping again in Erlangga in Denpasar. It is similar to Krisna shop. a fixed price store. really big. much bigger than Krisna. it is as good as Krisna, just much bigger. anyway, the stores are located side by side.
Had lunch in Warung Chandra. It sells pork skin and pork rice, veggies and soup. Yummy.. just 25000rp as I remember. Moved to Jatiluwih. It is a rice field, terasering. It was planted in the mountain and looks like stairs... The best rice field scenery that I had seen in my life... Not many people go there as still hasn't really famous yet.
Moved to Tanah Lot and took heaps of pics....
Had dinner in the Ocean Beach in KUta.
I love that cafe. It's beside the sea, outdoor n good evironment.
Btw, I rented a driver and car from Bali Majesty Tour. I think the price was fair as i already researched many car rental. U can check in their website. use APV Suzuki car. Driver's name is Wayan. A very on time man. Kind, know where to go, i mean usually drivers take us to the places that gives them commissions, but for this one I don't think so as He took me to Jatiluwih n suggest me where should i go.
Day 3. Join a cycling tour for 3-4 hours with elephant tour. It was just 3 of us. My friend, me and an instructor. He can speak english quiet well. as my friend is from Macau, can't speak indonesia. As it was in Kintamani, which is far from Kuta, it took us 2 hours to go there. The tour picked us in the hotel. We cycled from top of the mountain in Kintamani, looked the Batur lake(the famous lake in Kintamani), n kept going down passed about 20 villages. It was really nice if u want to experience Balinese culture. A van followed us, so if we couldn't cycle the hill or really steep hill, we can ride the van. While we cycling, we entered the local's house, feed the cow. hahhaha.... n they have a garden that has many fruits such as salak(i don't know in english)we can try them. they had coconut trees. they climbed it and picked it for us.
Day 4
Just had spa at Sang Spa in Ubud for 6 hours. hahhaha... but it was really cheap. 380,000 for body massage, body scrub, facial, creambath, mani pedi. Coz after cycling down the mountain it was really tiring. Had dinner in jimbaran, by the sea. we couldn't catch the sunset.
Day 5 Back.
It was really fun in Bali.... I think I will go there every year from now on. hahahhaha..... Hope it can be ur inspiration for ur trip....
BUt I didn't try the watersports, maybe in my next visit.
