Day Three Rp 8230

Up early for breakfast then back to cottage via beach to check the surf as we're surfers now. Went to Kodak shop to change some $$$$ but money changer closed so order photos. Taxi to Galleria to buy Mr 13 school shoes (trainers) and also bought him a goalie shirt from the shoe store. Walked across to Tom's music store but closed due to the holidays. This is the 21st maybe open on the 23rd according to the shop keeper next door! Taxi back to Poppies 1 Guitar shop there still closed for the holidays so had lunch at La Walon again! Walked back to hotel along the beach. Father and son to beach for surfing lesson with Putu and I met my Friend Di2n in regard to the paint.

A few days before we left Oz I got an email from my friend, in Sanur, asking me to order some fabric paint from SA and pay for it and take it to Bali. AUD $150 roughly. Discussed with Hubby and decided what the hell. So paint was ordered and paid for by us and delivered within two days. Great now have 3 kgs of fabric paint to drag to Bali! Postage to WA was $20 and postage to Sanur was $150. Anyway rang friend on arrival and she has a day off and is coming to Kuta to met me. So while the boys are off beering and surfing we're going to do coffee. She arrives and there are all sorts of hurried discussions on her phone to her brother who is yet to put the money into her account. So off we go for coffee. One the way back to the hotel she tells me to go to the hotel and she'll come via the ATM.

Well next thing he arrives at hotel with wads of cash asking can she pay me now. Paid and asked to check. All there down to the last cent. Anyway paint handed over. Seriously felt like we were doing drug deal in the lobby!!!

It appears that her brother is coming from Java and he is an Artist. As a thank you (for bringing the paint) he's done a painting of our dog for us. Which incidentally is fabulous! We loved it soo much we commissioned him to do another original painting for us. He does the painting but his passion is t-shirt painting hence the fabric paint. So we also commissioned him to do a couple of original designs for our son. One was a MU logo being blown into 1000 pieces as he hates MU. But unless you're a MU supporter you wouldn't recognize the symbol or significance anyway! The other is his guitar melting as it's been played too much! Anyway if you want a unique gift. It's a great idea. We met to discuss our ideas and then the designs was emailed to us and we made alterations on one and said yes to the other and they were done as per our order. Fabulous!!!

Walked, OMG yes walked, (traffic gridlocked) to Legends then taxi-ed back a bit of shopping on the way! Had a mowsie (sp??) round Hard Rock to check out the pools but way to commercial for us to swim there! Mr 13 saw some pretty cool guitars that we had to go back and take photos of him with so he could show his mates at school!

As I mentioned earlier we arrived in Kuta at the end of Ramadan and the whole of Java was there with us but more importantly a lot of people where actually away on holidays so had trouble finding a few shops open and most importantly couldn't find a laundry open near IKB so actually used the hotel service much to my distaste. Only reason was the cost but for three loads we survived.

Hotel Laundry Rp 171 820
Photos printed Rp 47 000
Taxis Rp 90 000 (Legian and Galleria and back)
Lunch La Walon Rp 167 000
KFC Blended Mocha Rp 25 000
Surfing Lesson Rp 100 000
Corn on beach Rp 10 000
Coffee with Di2n Rp 70 000
Long Sleaved Goalie Shirt Rp 119 200
School shoes trainers Rp 399 200
Meal Legends Rp 213 500
