Arrived Friday night, in Bali for 16 nights. Uneventful flight easy through VOA etc bout ¾ hour and we were at the hotel. Staying at Beach Melasti apartments, Legian for first 6 nights. When the taxi pulled up we were very worried but this place is beautiful! Bit noisy in our two bedroom apartment at the front but we are drinking enough Bintang to allow us to sleep soundly through, he he! Great coffee and Brekkie at the coffee shop out front. We are next to the new Ramada that has Jayakarta on the other side of it. They are still finishing the place off but it is not noisy work which is good. Bit quiet on the streets. Lunch at Le Monde across the road and off to 18th birthday dinner party at Blue Skyz. All great and yummy. Went to Beach Shack to watch the Drag show after dinner. Great show and sooooo funny! Massage and relax into Bali mode today. Went for a walk along beachfront to see what was going on and Lannai has a sign up out front to say closed for renovations! Bummer we liked that place. Had read in the forum that they had been shut down so not really surprised but disappointed all the same. Memorial tomorrow and have just found out that it is Hindu Christmas on Tuesday and Wednesday and most places will be closed! More coming.
