I had a brain haemorrhage then corrective surgery & have 4 clips/clamps in my brain. I was so devistated thinking I wont be allowed to travel again also had my license taken for some time until fit to drive. The on going risks are one thing but we must as a family enjoy what we have for all members of the family. I dont feel comfortable travelling without having pre existing cover. I was worried the alarms would go off in customs when you are wearing something metal because of my clips/clamps. I laugh about it now!

As I mentioned try southern cross travel insurance. I used ING last year & had to get Dr's approval but this year they want $354 for my family including my condition. It is frustrating but keep searching. If you find one that will cover you then you can then make the decision as to whether you want to pay the extra. Would be nothing worse then being away from home & needing medical attention or be flown home without insurance cover.

I wish your hubby well & hope your family have a wonderful holiday you all deserve.xox
