I bit the bullet a few years ago and sent back a huge statue, some large pots etc. Although it is cheap to buy them there, with freight, fumigation, customs fees etc., etc., They don't end up being the bargain you thought.
BUT!!! In saying that, I would feel quite confident that you would still be under Australian retail prices. And think of the experience you have gained. And you get what you want, not what someone else is trying to sell you!
Definitely worth it!!!!
