On our first day we broke sooo many of the golden rules I had read...... we laughed and lived to tell the story.
Sat and ate at a completely empty little restaurant, had drinks with ice, had no mozzie spray at sunset at said little restaurant, cant remember its name. got ripped off on the beach,hubby filled out a survey form and took a scratchy, I cleaned my teeth and ran my toothbrush under the tap!!!!!! And drank water at restaurant from a glass!!!!!! OMG... hahahaha still cant wait to get back there. I miss bintang so... I have ordered some on line!!! Don,t ask how much it cost!!!!
Little squirrels were on our balcony every morning and then up the tree snacking on offerings, sooo cute! Made some fantastic friends, who only too willing to show us their beautiful country,sat on the step at the front of the shop in gone troppo lane, Rebecca's shop, and ate snakefruit and klungkung? and papaya with them. They thaught my indonesian was funny, but were impressed with it none the less!!!
Also they thaught it was funny when I called out to the tourists to come and look in their shop, and tell the tourists what they had to offer... "laundry, get nails done, massage, come in and look, very cheap..." Oh yeah I forgot I was one of those tourists my self!!!hahahaha.
