onya alleylou - great post and like you I have taken my own large coffee mugs (usually odments from home), as well as towels etc and then given them away at the end of the trip.
Aint nothin wrong in being comfortable and having a nice cuppa at the end or beginning of the day rather than those thimble size cups that are in the hotel rooms.
