We left for bali on the 16th of september at 9.55 am in the morning from melbourne on garuda airline. The flight was fine no problems there.my hubby and daughter 17 and her friend 16 and me. We get to denpsar and were told that my daugthers passport is not valid as she dosnt have 6 months left on it so we get taken into the office and told to sit there. We waited for what seemed like a long time they called me in and told me that because she was a little girl she could stay. We got out as soon as we could so they didnt change their mind.
We where picked up by our hotel driver we stayed at the Sanur Paradise Plaza Suites. The suites were great had lots of room and the pool was good food expensive though ate out lots. It had a full kitchen so we just shopped at hardys and had breakfast in room. Shuttle bus takes you too hardys and the beach. We just caught taxis everywhere. They also had a service that took you into kuta for 11,000 rep each.
We did lots of things when we were there. Went to Bali Zoo had a great time recomend it the kids did treetop course us adults watched. Got to pat lion,monkeys, black cat baby croc all sorts of birds. The food was great. Did the kintomani tour kids bored to tears only liked the monkey forest in ubud on that tour. Also went to turtle island kids liked it but it is sad they the turtles are not looked after to well. Held a bat and a snake and turtles of course. The safari park was not as good as bali zoo the only reason we went was to ride elephant would not go again. The kids loved it though got to pat lion , lion cub,(which seemed druged) held a orangatan, food there was the worst food we had was included in package. We went white water rafting it was so much fun,the kids loved it but the stairs at the end was a nightmare all 360 of them l found out l am not that fit but would do it again.We also went horse riding along thae beach the view was great. Waterbom park was good as well hired a gazebo number 20 thanks to the forum for that info.
We did a lot of the usaul shopping girls got lots of clothes and jewelry. Fake pandora and beads and anklets. Hubby got tool bags made out of leather for his two yamaha.
Fun was had by all planning next trip hubby thinks maybe go to phuket but l think bali sounds better will see.Girls made lots of friends got their facebook and msn name so can keep in contacted. sorry so long first time
