I had the campylobacter too a 10 years ago after being on holiday in austria (btw i live in europe).
Nasty thing, been 4 weeks ill with high fever and lots of running to the loo.
Lost about 15 kg in weigth, but do not know if is was from the running to the loo or caused by the diarrhea
