Do note that the suites are different from the hotel - a totally separate location. Both are nice.
You will always read negative reviews about places - some people are unbelievably fussy.
I have stayed at the suites and think they're fine. The location is a tad annoying - you have to taxi everywhere, but the extra space of an apartment may outweigh the inconvenience for a large group. Also, the kids pool is great. The apartments are big and clean. The pool is fine. I quite like it there, but prefer to stay somewhere I can walk out to the action because I have small children and dealing with the pram in taxis is a bit annoying.
