yes, the ogoh-ogoh parade commences around sunset on the night before Nyepi Day.
They congregrate in Jalan Legian with the streets cordoned off - this is when you can take the best photos and walk in amongst the floats and get a good closeup view of all the workmanship and detail that has gone into the making of these wonderful pieces of work.
Afterwards, unless you get a good vantage point to watch the parade basically from Bemo Corner up to Kuta Square (Milo's Corner) where a performance is displayed in front of the judges, with the hudreds of people watching it's difficult to see them all the finer details.
Then some are taken down onto the beach and set on fire.
It's a great highlight of a holiday involving Nyepi Day.
