Prices have to go up eventually, they don't go down (as we know).

There is plenty of cheap accommodation available in Bali.

Also take into account that prices for electricity etc also go up in Bali and property owners/managers have to take this into account. There is talk here in Bali of a possible 30% increase on our electricity bills....When running air-cons (a big power cost), electricity is quite expensive here in Bali, and it is paid every month. There certainly is a shortage of electricity here with power cuts all over the island on a regular basis...Although in the main tourist hubs this would hardly be noticed at all.

Do some searching or try something different and you will be sure to find something that suits your budget.
