If you go there you need to be early, get there at 8am and it's all over red rover. If you do not rise early forget it.
The fish is straight off the boat meaning it is really fresh and a good feed will cost you around 16,000rp.
There are fruit and veggies, clothing, footwear and delicious Balinese sweet treats to be had.The local ladies will also be buying their flowers and etc for ceremonies.
The first stall you come to will be the fish lady who will probably be wearing one of my old sleeveless shirts, if she is please tell how wonderful she looks. Then again, neither her or her daughter speak English, trust me (and her) when I tell you that she will only take the correct amount of money, and give change. There will be no rip off.
Be aware that you will probably be the only tourists there as you are shopping at a truly wonderful traditional village market. The ambience of the place is magic and I'll bet you London to a brick that you will be smiled at and the locals will ask you where you are from. I am sure that you will enjoy it.
You realise from posting this I am going to cop a heap of flack from the likes of Wharfie, Rorope and Madj.
