Hi everyone!
My partner and I have decided to marry in Bali in October 2010. As I've been to Bali 12 times before, it seemed like a much more logical place than a reception venue in Perth!
We have in mind a simple ceremony (probably non-legal seeing neither my partner nor I are religious and apparently atheists can't marry?) in a hotel or villa garden, with a reception for around 30 people on the beach sand in front of the hotel.
Casual 'wandering guitarist' style entertainment (think the Jimbarin Bay entertainers!) and some delicious Indonesian food. I've seen a wedding at Bali Garden Hotel which was lovely, but I'd prefer to stay out of the Kuta/Tuban/Legian area and be somewhere a bit quieter like Seminyak/Sanur/Nusa Dua.
I'm just hoping to hear from anyone else who has recently married in Bali or has gone through the planning stages. Recommendations and advice would all be welcome!
