we just bought a plastic tub from carrefours ($2-3AUD) and boiled water and placed the bottles in there (for the 2yr old)to warm them slightly
as for our 9mth old who has always had 'warm milk' we just did the same thing except used springwater that hadn't been in the fridge to make her formula up.
could you bring over one of those avent bottle warmers instead? they are much much smaller in size so could easily fit in your suitcase....not as convenietn as microwave
