microwave is important here. A microwave with a high wattage can easily trip out the electricity of the hotel or villa you are staying in.
It will also probably destroy the power to the house of the folk you give it to. Many private homes do not have power surge trip out switches.
Look at something of lower wattage. Something around 400-800 should be okay. Of course this will take just a tad longer to heat things but at least it should not create hassles.
