OMG im so missing Bali, been back a week and wish I was still there. I think its everytime I hear MUMMY MUMMY MUMMY I think of swimming in the infinity pool at Blue Point Uluwatu then suddenly, I come crashing down with a thud!!!

Well I'd better start part 2....

After a great day out quad biking we were back at the KP to get changed and head to the Melasti Spa for a well earned full body massage, coconut scrub and petal bath. I even got hubby to have a massage too which was great, a scrub would have been pushing his boundaries a bit, typical male... if only he knew what he was missing hey girls!!

After the wonderful massage we then headed down to Kev & Nats hotel, the Inna to grab them for dinner at the boadwalk again. (Had to have those Sushi Style Tuna Spring Rolls) mmmmm!!! After a lovely dinner we retired to the lounges to lay back and have a couple of cocktails and enjoyed the fire dancing which was really entertaining. A must there at least once!!

Next morning after a nice sleep in hubby and I headed out for one last shop in Kuta and headed straight to Geneva to check out the homewares. My sisters who are regular Bali trippers have always recommended this place but Ive never had time to get out there. OMG it was just how they described it (WA Salvage eat your heart out) for Pertheans you'll understand but for everyone else just rows & rows of stuff, everything you can think of!! I was in my element yet hubby on the otherhand who was very hot and bothered his comment really summed it up, A shop full of CRAP!! But what the hell I dove in head first!! Woo Hoo!!

After Geneva we asked the staff about a new handicraft store which I had heard about on the forum called Biarrtz (I thinks thats hows it spelt) anyway they gave us directions and we were off.

We didn't get very far, just accross the road in fact to a shop filled with everthing done in mirrored mosaics, so cool! I had to buy a disco ball couldn't help myself, have no idea what Im going to do with it but just had to have it!!
Finally after our little detour we got a taxi but the taxi driver had no idea where this shop Biarrtz was, so lucky for mobile phones as the driver called someone and within minutes we where there.

Biarrtz is very similar to Geneva but so much more organised and cleaner. I got some really nice table runners, flags and cushions covers from here and really great prices. I think I paid $21,000 each for the covers... Make sure though you get your taxi driver to wait as we found it extremely hard to get a taxi again even though its on busy Sunset Dr. We actually waited on the side of the road for about 20mins until a little old bimo van pulled over and we set a price of $40,000 to get us back to KP. I wasn't going to barter with him as it was dam cheap to us as it was bloody hot and hubby was just about to melt into a puddle. Cool driver too, pumped the music all the way back to KP. I think now on hindsite that he just saw it as easy money to pick us up but hey he did us the favour we could still be out there on the side of the road sweating our arses off.

We dropped our shopping off and grabbed another taxi and headed to Shoot. This is a gallery which turns your pictures into Canvases and they are so proffesional and have had no problem with getting them back into OZ. If you get them done make sure you pay for them to be put on a frame as they only use quality wood and its really expensive to get the on the frame back home plus OZ customs are always impressed with the wood used. Also if you need any alterations to your pics make sure you stay there with them until your happy with the final pic that will be printed onto the canvas. Don't be afraid to ask them to do a small test canvas as they are more than happy to do. The owner is Australian too.

Well after a long hot day shopping its was time for a quick dip before I headed off to my final massage in legian before we head up to Ubud and boy I needed it. Another little fav place is Briella which is right accross the road from KP. Its a great little place for a pedicure and a quick massage. Tessa the owner is really nice and very accomodating, so will always go back.

That evening as we were talking to our friend Wayan Sri out the front of the KP it suddenly went pitch black. Apparently most of the power had gone off in Kuta/Legian. Anyway we grabbed a taxi and made our way to meet Nat & Kev for dinner. Still noticing that the power was off everywhere and being the traffic was so busy through Kuta we decided to get out and walk through Poppies Lane, thought it would be quicker. BIG mistake! it was bedlam, car & bikes were everywhere and heading in all different directions, it was so tight with traffic that even walking we couldn't get through at times. Also it was pitch black and walking was crazy as we couldn't see anything up the street and we heard sirens galore very unnerving especially since it was the last day of Ramadam. Finally we hit the beach and found Nat & Kev and headed to the restaurant Rosso Vivo, what a mistake that was!!! The food here was awful, sorry but definently would not reccommend eating here, really expensive and food not nice. Hubby had the veal, and he could barely eat it it was so gross and my risotto was nothing to rave about either. So after our crap meal a couple of bintangs and some really great company we parted ways to head back to the KP for our last night before heading up to Ubud.

Sorry guys but fingers sore will have to do a part 3.

I hope I haven't bored you too much with my dribble

to be concluded...

Still dreaming of Blue Point :)
