Part of hotel or villa accommodation protocol is a copy of every guests passport is taken and your stay is registered with authorities (even if you dont realise). This is done for emergency situations, so the authorities have a record of who is staying at each accommodation facility.
So I guess the short answer is, yes they might work out her age :)
