My husband is Balinese and he had to fly back to Bali on his own from Brisbane with Jetstar via Darwin and then again back to Brisbane via Darwin. On the way over he got a bit confused but just asked someone at the jetstar desk and they helped him. Darwin airport is very basic.. He then found someone in duty free and also someone in customs who were both originally from Bali... On the way back into Australia he just followed the crowd.. There is many people who can help your friends with the forms, although I must confess that I sent my husband away with outgoing passenger card, and incoming passenger cards already filled in ha ha...
