The Jayakarta is perfect for street shopping and you will be spoilt for choice of restaurants, right out of the beach exit for the beachfront restaurants and restaurants galore out on the street also.
You will have a great time!
The Jayakarta also has a free shuttle bus into Kuta a couple of times a day, you should book this as it gets full, and we used this a few times, although a taxi into Kuta is only about 25000rph depending on the traffic, or you can be fit and healthy and walk along the beach, although you might find yourself too exhausted to shop once you get there if it is really hot.
Also I forgot to mention the Laundry. Exit at the street, turn left, walk until the road swings sharply around to the left(maybe a minutes walk if that), as the road goes left turn right into a little lane and it is a few shops up on the left, there is a sign,the man in there and his family were lovely and we did laundry 3 times it was about 35000rph each time and we just gave him 50000rph. His daughter also sells sim cards and she recharged our card with her and she did it all for us.
