Hi suegar, It does sound like the room you were in may have been a premiere if it was around the pool with a balcony on the first floor as when I emailed the hotel about the room types they said Deluxe rooms were in the garden and the only Deluxe rooms with a balcony were those on the ground floor. As the young children will be 3&5 yrs it has been suggested on BTF to choose the deluxe as farther away from the enticement of the pool.
