You can apply for a 60 day visa ahead of time, but the 7 day and 30 day visas can only be obtained on arrival. The 60 day visa obviously costs more, and involves some organising before you leave, but makes it a bit easier when you arrive. Googling will get you the info you need, depending where you live.
