same thing happened to me 4 years ago, I had siatia nerve pressing on my lower disc, so painful worst than child birth, everyone talked me into going which i did i took sneakers to walk around. honestly i wish i hadnt i did not enjoy myself one little bit, popping painkillers all day, i felt i got more relief laying flat on a electric blanket bed. I tried ev everything 1 month before hand to chinese accupunture, 2 different phsio,also stretching machine i was strap, a spinal block was the last resort before i went but nothing work till the operation. I live in perth to and the plane over was a killer also, i just no what i went through it aint worth it. You also got to consider your travel insurance. goodluck with your decsion.
