I am the same as your hubby.. I suffer where ever I travel, including eastern states of Australia. In Bali I get a "dose" everytime and get worse and worse unless I take the antibiotic Flagyl (which is your Metronidazol / Metrogyl)and it is all that cures me, I always travel with a bottle but it can be purchased over the counter in bali quite cheaply. Others I travel with do not get affected and so I do not understand and it will remain a mystery. My last trip I learnt about the travelan tabs and used them and brilliant success, not a day of misery - I love these tabs that allow me to enjoy my hard earned holiday.
