I found sizes varied from style to style. At the markets stalls they tend to be small medium large etc. But t-shirt in one shop that said large can be different to another that says large. Before I went I measured width and length of my kids t-shirts that currenlty fitted them and also measured length of dresses for my daughter and also traced around their foot. I kept this paper with me when I shopped along with a compact tape measure so if in doubt I oculd measure. At the department stores they had sizes on clothes which looked similar to Australian sizing. I just bought one size bigger to be safe. Have fun shopping.
