and was told that I am entitled to complimentary travel insurance.
I also wanted this in writing (to take with me) and trying to get an answer from anyone at CBA to get more info was like pulling teeth.
First response from CBA from my enquiry was this:
"Please see above cc field where I have forwarded your email to Zurich as they look after the travel insurance you are entitled too"
I never heard back from Zurich.
OK so now I email Zurich....and I get this response:
"This needs to be requested by you from card services at the bank"
After another 2 emails this was my final response to Ricky at Zurich:
"Good Morning Ricky
Please see message below as per CBA communication.
Blah blah blah.....can I get it or not......blah blah....
I'm not looking for a cure for Cancer, I am just wanting my question answered."
Needless to say I got my answer from Zurich:
"Hi Matt and Marie,
When I responded to your question yesterday, I advised that card services at the bank (132 221)
CommInsure is an underwriter themselves (Insurance company), they are correct in not answering any questions,
as they are not familiar with this policy.
Notice of your intent to travel isn't necessary, unless there are pre-existing conditions that you would like to seek
approval for on the policy. If this is the case contact 1800 812 994 (press 2 twice when following the prompts).
The policy does cover insolvency of licensed service providers.
Any other questions, contact 132 687.

This took a total of 2 weeks to answer and numerous emails.
You would think they would know this stuff off the top of their head.
God help me if I actually NEED to put a claim in with them??!!??!???!?!?!?!!!
I am still thinking I might seek Travel Insurance with someone else like Covermore or similar so I have peace of mind.
Cheers
