if your travel plans were within the period that IJ have declared as "suspended"
Outside of that (Say later than mid December), IJ will defend by stating that they intend to provide the service at that time, so therefore no refund is neccessary.
For those travelling within the "suspension period", I am aware of full refunds by CC dispute actions and also refunds by IJ.
I am also aware that some customers have recently been advised that promised refunds within a "6 week period" have been advised that payment has been delayed due to "advice from IJ accountants".
I believe that it is the responsibility of Australian Consumer Protection depts. to force IJ to stop hiding behind this "suspension period" barrier that is preventing people from using the CC disputes procedure, and declare all current bookings void.
If IJ wish to re-start as "fly-by-night tours", then that's fine, but do the right thing by those who tried to support a locally based operation in the first place.
