We are back from a pretty quick trip with 2 young kids and a couple of first time in laws.
Jumping on the net trying to book again.
Anyway we stayed at The Villas Bali in Seminyak in a three bedroom stunning villa. We were at the estate and can truly highly reccomend it. So quiet and just stunning.
Fairly quick to get through immigration. I think it definetly helped having US dollars to pay VOA. Noticed that people paying in other currencys were taking a bit longer.
Seminyak has absolutely terrible footpaths at the moment. They are being redone so are all ripped up. We found this out on our first day attempting to push 2 strollers down the street. We ended up catching cabs to Kuta and Legian after that. Footpaths much better and easy to navigate.
Just did the usual shopping trips. Went to Waterbom park which is just a brilliant day out.
Arranged a babysitter through Smudge. Iluh who was just amamzing with our 10 month old. She spoilt him rotten by holding him, playing and singing to him. Whilst she was with us we barely layed hands on him as she wouldn't let him go. It was great as it left me 2 hands and legs free to run after our very active 2 year old.
It was good to see alot of the old favoites were still there such as Treehouse restuarant in Poppies 1 and a few of the drinking holes. I haven't been there for about 4 years.
My in laws allowed a few taxi drivers to retire for the evening after paying 300000 for cab rides rather than 25000- 30000. We wondered why they wanted to walk as we were saying the taxis were so cheap and they were saying no there not. After a bit of explaining as to how much they had been paying. Iluh our sitter just about fainted when she heard how much they had been paying.
I am missing the Bintang already.
