A few years ago I was waiting in one of the banks in Kuta and I overheard a guy from NZ trying to find out from the manager why his card that he had used only once on his trip at that bank and branch for a cash advance had been used in Jakarta to the tune of $12,000. All the manager could say was that it happened at the Jakarta end and not at his branch and that all transactions from his branch go through head office in Jakarta and some one there must have used his details. Confidence boosting?
