and overall it has been good value for our family of four. We stayed in th suite cottages which are closer to the beach as they comfortably fitted 2kids and 2 adults together.

I have been in the deluxe rooms in the newer section of the hotel and they are very nice. Each of these rooms have a verandah and most overlook the newer pool. The hotel is in a great location being beachfront and there is nothing better than eating your breaky overlooking legian beach, wonderful.

As for the breaky, the buffet is fairly standard and like most things if you eat the same over a 14day period you get a bit sick of it. I have never had a problem with the buffet and always find the food okay. You have the choice of eggs, any way you like they cook them for you, toast, cereal, fresh cut fruit (nice although sometimes not always ripe for the eating, pastries, yoghurt, cofee, tea and juice(not fresh but water added in a dispenser). they also have hot food served in a bain marie which could be anything from pancakes, mie goreng, nasi goreng, ham, bacon (and probably leftovers from the night befores dinner buffet.

The Jayakarta (which we are trying for a change in October) is about a 200metre walk down from the melasti, not far at all.

Melasti has 2 big pools and 1 small plunge pool, my kids enjoy the pools and the Melasti Spa which is attached to the hotel have some lovely spa treatments and well worth a visit. I have always found the staff courteous and very helpful.

enjoy
